Okay, evidently there is some show on TLC that Mindy and her friends like to watch called "The Baby Story". 99% of the men and children under 12 can stop reading at this point, but here is quick summary of events about yesterday.
In my state of sleep deprivation last night, I did not indicate that Mindy actually had a c-section. That is the reason she is in the hospital until Friday.
Here are the details:
9:30 Arrive at hospital. Mindy is 8 centimeters dilated and 90% effaced (okay, maybe we do the home laboring thing a touch long). Midwife thinks we should have baby in about 60-90 minutes.
10:30-12 Mindy is fully dilated, but water has not broken. Contractions and pain are "worst pain ever" saith Mindy.
12:00 Water is broken time to push
12-3:30 Pushing, but Jocelyn's head is not in correct position and we can not get her past pelvis. Mindy pushes in every conceivable position to try and rotate baby. Mindy is +2 with +4 meaning baby has crowned. Head is starting to cone and we can see her hair. Midwives and mom and dad huddle for options b/c Mbear is fading. Administer epidural to see if mom can rest and if baby will change positions.
4:30-7:00 Resume pushing with other techniques. At this point, OB is in room along with two midwives and a nurse trying to rotate this child by a couple of inches. Can't get baby's head to budge. Rule out foreceps to rotate head because of risk. Off to surgery.
7:28 Jocelyn is here safe, sound, and in one piece.

Wow, it sounds like you guys had a rough day. Praise God that Jocelyn and Mindy are well because that is the important thing. I'll be praying for your recovery Mindy.
